While hundreds of thousands of veterans confront unemployment and scores of green-collar jobs remain unfilled, my INVEST Act will deliver the boost our clean energy economy needs and the action America’s veterans deserve. https://t.co/Pt17MVP1C2
MUCH to discuss...
As we close out this National Nurses Week, I am proud to honor our nurses’ unwavering dedication to their communities and reaffirm my commitment to supporting the workforce that keeps us healthy and safe. Through every shift, you stand on the frontlines of care, bringing compassion, expertise, and strength to the patients you serve. Thank you for all that you do, and happy National Nurses Week!
No shit.
You were either too cowardly to condemn this man’s ignorance, or you agreed with it. No matter what you say now, the fact is that you did not say a thing then — and that is precisely what’s wrong with Republicans! @repjeffries deserves an apology, and the people of Virginia deserve better than bigots and their enablers.
Like so many of us, everything that I am, and all that I could ever hope to be, I owe to my mother. She’s been my guiding light since I started this life and, at 91 years old, she still continues to find new ways to inspire me. I love you, mom. Happy Mother’s Day! https://t.co/noZsDWtOSi
From their beautiful culture and kind communities, to their incomparable resilience and powerful history, there is so much to cherish about our Haitian neighbors. And that is why I was honored to celebrate this Haitian Heritage Month at their side, today! Thank you to Life of Hope for bringing us together, and for the opportunity to show our appreciation to a people who truly deserve it.
As this Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, I want to thank all the teachers, professors, aides, administrators, and educational professionals out there who are working every single day to prepare our children for a brighter future. Too often underpaid and overlooked, please know that you are seen and valued. Congress must do more to protect and reward our educators for their hard work, long hours, and dedication.
In recognition of Small Business Week, I’m proud to share that the Brooklyn Job Fair was a tremendous success! With more than 700 attendees and 31 employers from across the city and state, the event offered seminars, workshops, and on-site interviews, leading to real job opportunities and offers. Thank you to our partners who worked day and night at our side to make this job fair a success!
