Twenty-five years ago today, America began its mission in Afghanistan. As a veteran of that war, this day is deeply personal to me. I think of the men and women I served alongside and remember the more than 2,400 American service members who never made it home. To every veteran who fought in Afghanistan: thank you. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

According to DHS, not a single illegal alien was released in August, compared with 10,186 in August 2024. @HouseGOP backed our Border Patrol agents with the resources they need. My bipartisan Floodplain Enhancement and Recovery Act took a major step forward after companion legislation passed the Senate. In rural Montana, access to reliable emergency medical care is critical. I’m proud to announce $8.7 million through the Rural Health Transformation Program to strengthen health care across our state. This funding will provide 79 EMS agencies with new ambulances and equipment, giving first responders the tools they need to better serve their communities.
