It is an honor to serve Michigan’s 5th District in the 119th Congress. To stay up to date on what I am working on in Washington and across MI-05, please subscribe to my weekly e-newsletter at https://t.co/nPiyrYhL6H. https://t.co/7LRln24R8i
I recently had the opportunity to join workers at the Jimmy John's in Brooklyn to discuss how policies like no tax on tips are allowing them to keep more of their hard-earned money. I'm proud to support local franchises that create jobs and open doors of opportunity for Michigan families.
Today, on Armed Forces Day, we honor the strength and resilience of America's servicemembers who defend our nation and safeguard our freedoms. We are forever grateful for their sacrifice and heroism. https://t.co/2PSc14Na33
It was great to talk to @EDSecMcMahon yesterday about how we can continue to work together to create an education system that puts students, not bureaucracies, first.
Sensitive research and technology must stay out of the hands of our adversaries.
🚨@HouseGOP just passed critical legislation to: ✅ Fully fund veterans' benefits and health programs ✅ Make improvements to VA medical facilities ✅ Improve the quality of life for servicemembers and their families ✅ Bolster our military readiness We must remain focused on bolstering our national security and delivering real results for the brave men and women in uniform both during service and after it.
During this National Police Week, we recognize the brave men and women who put on the badge and stand bravely in the face of danger. @HouseGOP passed the Keeping Violent Offenders Off Our Streets Act and the Cashless Bail Reporting Act to ensure that these heroes have the support they need to keep criminals off our streets.
I look forward to continuing to work with @EDSecMcMahon to advance our shared goal of empowering families, states, and communities to deliver better outcomes for students, families, workers, and taxpayers.
