Our team is in touch with local officials across the district as we prepare for the severe weather expected this weekend. We stand ready to assist communities impacted by this storm. Please continue to monitor the forecast and take the necessary precautions to protect yourself and your loved ones. We are praying for everyone’s safety! 🙏🏾
Had a great time at the University of Alabama checking out the new electric bus fleet. I even got to take a ride! 🚍 Exciting to see how the $7.8 million we helped secure is making a difference here on campus. Roll Tide!! https://t.co/fb0EkDshXt
Always inspired by the excellence I see on our HBCU campuses! I had a wonderful morning speaking with students at @StillmanCollege and discussing the university’s priorities with President Page. So proud of the great work happening here. There is a bright future ahead for Stillman and the young leaders it serves! 💙
I was proud to secure $850,000 for the Bessemer Housing Authority to support construction of the Dream Center! I’m excited that this new community center will soon bring health services, social services, and early learning opportunities to Bessemer families. It was great to tour the facility and see the progress firsthand. I look forward to seeing this investment come to life!
With severe weather expected across Alabama this weekend, I encourage everyone to stay alert, keep an eye on changing conditions, and take the necessary precautions to keep you and your loved ones safe. Please know that my office stands ready to help communities impacted by these storms. Stay safe, Alabama!
Proud to deliver another $250,000 to improve stormwater drainage in Homewood! This investment will help reduce flooding and save residents money on insurance! https://t.co/UWTseF6fFC
Great news! We were able to secure another $250,000 to help the City of Homewood improve storm water drainage! I stopped by City Hall this morning to celebrate this investment with Mayor Andress and the city council. We worked hard to get this funding included in the 2026 federal budget, and I'm excited to see the impact it will have here in Homewood!
So great to see the progress being made at Selma University thanks to our federal investments! https://t.co/6WGlBTMy39
The closure of the Akron Post Office would be a terrible loss for West Alabama. I stand with the Akron community and urge the U.S. Postal Service to keep this vital facility open for those who rely on it! https://t.co/z2c99SzRje
We’ve brought more than $2 million to Selma University in the past four years to revitalize historic buildings—preserving our past while preparing students for the future. I was thrilled to tour the progress being made and see our federal dollars at work! https://t.co/OKAxKNFKIV
