Congratulations to our 2026 Congressional Art Competition winner and runner ups! The winning piece will hang in our nation’s Capitol for all visitors to see. What wonderful way to spread New Mexico’s magic. https://t.co/qEG1JAUChW
The Democratic Women’s Caucus and Republican Women’s Caucus are partnering to address the procedural and cultural problems that have led to pervasive sexual misconduct on Capitol Hill. Together, we will push for bipartisan changes to make the reporting process faster and more accessible and increase education and training resources, prioritizing staff and survivors at every step.
Under Trump’s DHS, Tribal citizens have been stopped, questioned, harassed, and even detained because federal agents failed to recognize Tribal IDs. We're introducing a bill to stop that once and for all. https://t.co/DdgSq4gR0t
Caja del Rio is a precious place that brings together the diverse histories of New Mexicans. We stand in awe of a landscape marked by time and tradition. @SenatorHeinrich and I have introduced a bill to protect the Caja and make it loud and clear that Caja is not for sale. https://t.co/AczcDQCHUU
¡Feliz dia de las madres a todas las mamás de Nuevo Mexico! Mothers are the backbone of our communities. Let’s cherish and protect them. Happy Mother’s Day! ❤️ https://t.co/DW9hUTvRwj
The Caja matters. So we’re fighting to protect it. https://t.co/bDr08IgtWC
The Caja del Rio is where the story of New Mexico lives — in our petroglyphs, our acequias, our Tribal traditions, our Hispano ranching and farming communities, and the paths our ancestors walked centuries ago. This land does not belong to corporations looking to profit off of it. It belongs to the people of New Mexico and to future generations. As Republicans in Washington push to sell off public lands, we're making clear that the Caja is not for sale. @SenatorHeinrich and my legislation protects this beautiful landscape, preserves traditional uses, and honors the communities who have cared for it since time immemorial.
Republicans talk about the debt only to cover up the fact that they create the debt. Every Republican president for the last 73 years has increased the debt, and every Democratic president since Carter has decreased it. But the biggest increases have been under Trump—he borrowed from our future to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy. Now, Republicans want to add another $70 billion in debt to pay for Trump’s ballroom and fund the atrocities of ICE and CBP. Republicans think that Americans won’t pull back the curtain to see who’s really making our children pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
ICE terror hurts everyone—including American workers. Study after study shows hateful, indiscriminate mass deportations don’t create jobs for Americans. They drag down local economies, kill jobs, and spread fear. We should fix our broken immigration system, protect workers, and build the kind of economy that creates a boom for everyone.
Remember how big private corporations were supposed to pay for a $400 million ballroom — a small price given the billions they got in tax cuts? Now he wants the taxpayers, meaning you, to pay more than twice as much for it. I wonder who is getting the no-bid contract?
