Today on Armed Forces Day, we honor and express our deep gratitude for the more than 1.3 million active-duty servicemembers stationed around the globe. Thank you for answering the call to serve and making countless sacrifices to protect our nation from all threats. https://t.co/kjfuM6hOzQ
One week ago, I was extremely honored and humbled to speak at the @UArkansas’s Spring Commencement. In an era marked by division and uncertainty, I challenged these graduates to bring the best version of themselves to our nation. Now more than ever, as we celebrate our 250th birthday, we need these Razorbacks at their very best so that our country can thrive and prosper for another two and a half centuries. Congratulations again to the Class of 2026—I look forward to seeing all that you will accomplish.
On this National Police Week, I had the honor of meeting officers from the Bentonville Police Department who told me about how they are working to keep Third District Arkansans safe and how leaders here in Washington can help support their mission. Thank you to these individuals—and law enforcement officers across the country—for protecting our communities every day.
.@HouseAppropsGOP has made it a top priority to restore regular order to the annual government funding process, and today’s House passage of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill brings us closer to achieving that objective. Read more about how this bill fully funds support systems for our veterans while also strengthening the infrastructure our servicemembers rely on to protect our nation: https://t.co/W7WpCJxQfX
Read more about @FLOTUS @MelaniaTrump’s transformational work to help America’s youth secure housing after they exit the foster care system. I was proud to support this effort as Chair of the @HouseAppropsGOP THUD Subcommittee, and I look forward to seeing how the funding we allocated will empower these young people.
It is a good day for the House, and an even better day for the American people, because today we are considering the first full-year Fiscal Year 2027 appropriations bill—the FY27 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs funding bill. Its passage will set our military and veterans up for success while also sustaining our momentum to fulfill Congress’s Article I responsibility on time.
I spoke on the House Floor this morning to recognize Harris Baking Company for 100 years of business in Rogers. Since it opened in 1926, this bakery has been a well-known institution in Northwest Arkansas, producing an impressive 30 million loaves of bread annually. Watch more: https://t.co/kz5bQy0gTq
5️⃣/ 1️⃣ 2️⃣FY27 funding bills advanced by @HouseAppropsGOP. The FY27 Commerce, Justice, and Science funding bill… ✔️Increases funding for the DEA to counter the flow of illicit drugs; ✔️Supports the DOJ’s efforts to combat fraud; ✔️Funds programs that protect children and survivors of violence; ✔️Increases support for local and state law enforcement; and ✔️Supports NASA and the National Weather Service operations. Thank you to Dean of the House @RepHalRogers for your leadership on this bill!
I had the incredible opportunity to meet the @NASAArtemis II crew yesterday during their visit to the nation's capital. Their historic mission last month is a true testament to how American leadership is out of this world. https://t.co/XbMG6tJSKC
Great to see @RazorbackMBB’s @CoachCalArk in DC. Team Womack is grateful for his friendship. #WPS https://t.co/iICdyZccmC
