The men and women serving in our Armed Forces represent the very best of our country. Their courage, discipline and commitment to defending our nation are essential to our security and way of life. May God bless all who serve and the families who stand beside them. https://t.co/025TvnyhSV
During this National Police Week, I voted for several bills supporting law enforcement and strengthening public safety. Safe communities depend on officers willing to run toward danger when others run away. We must ensure they have the tools, resources, and backing needed to do their jobs safely while holding violent offenders accountable.
A strong showing, @RepLaLota — though I’d be remiss not to point out my Class made it up Herndon in 1:43:55… considerably faster than the Class of 2000! As we know, the Class of ’86 had the last REAL plebe year. 😏 Congratulations to the @NavalAcademy Class of 2029 on conquering Herndon and becoming plebes no more. A hard-earned milestone after a year of grit, teamwork and perseverance. Best wishes to these Midshipmen as they continue preparing to lead and serve. Go Navy! ⚓️🇺🇸

The men and women in law enforcement who gave their lives in the line of duty will never be forgotten. Their courage and sacrifice reflect a deep commitment to protecting our communities. May God bless the families of the fallen and those who continue to serve. https://t.co/V4hWCZgQOG
I spoke in support of the @HouseAppropsGOP MilConVA bill — the first FY27 funding bill to reach the House floor. As a veteran and member of the MilConVA Subcommittee, I’m proud to support bipartisan legislation that👇 ✅ Fully funds veterans’ health care and benefits ✅ Strengthens military readiness and infrastructure ✅ Expands research and treatment for veterans facing Parkinson’s disease and ALS ✅ Includes resiliency improvements at the U.S. Naval Academy ✅ Protects veterans’ 2A constitutional rights
✅ Another FY27 funding bill through @HouseAppropsGOP! As a member of the Appropriations Committee, I’m pleased to see 5 of the 12 now approved by committee and moving to the House floor. The Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies bill strengthens law enforcement, targets fentanyl and fraud, counters China, supports American leadership in space and AI, and rolls back wasteful Biden-era DEI spending.
Great meeting with City of Winter Haven officials, including Mayor Brian Yates, to discuss the city’s continued growth and infrastructure priorities, including modernization efforts at Winter Haven Regional Airport, congestion relief along Willowbrook Road and improvements to North Lake Shipp Drive. As Polk County continues to grow, I’ll keep working to support smart federal coordination that improves safety, eases traffic and ensures our communities have the infrastructure they need.
Last night’s candlelight vigil on the House steps was a powerful reminder of the sacrifice made by our fallen law enforcement officers who gave their lives protecting our communities. We honor their service, remember their courage and keep their families in our prayers. https://t.co/heIgaHARTa
Since 1996, Parker Street Ministries has been making a lasting impact through Gospel-centered community development in Lakeland’s Parker Street neighborhood. Our team was honored to attend the ribbon cutting for the new George W. Jenkins Gathering Place hosted by the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce. This incredible new facility will help expand the ministry’s reach, create new opportunities for service, and allow Parker Street Ministries to support even more individuals and families across our community.
