This week the Army released its report on the Flight 5342 collision. It confirmed what we knew from the NTSB’s investigation, that systemic failures in our aviation system led to this senseless tragedy. The flight originated from my hometown of Wichita, and I am heartbroken that several Kansans were among the victims. No family should ever have to endure such heartbreak. I will continue working with my colleagues in the House and Senate to pass aviation safety legislation to ensure a tragedy like this never happens again.
My R&D expensing provision in Republicans' Working Families Tax Cuts is creating jobs. At today's @WaysandMeansGOP field hearing, a manufacturer told me it has allowed her company to hire additional chemists and research staff. https://t.co/KVDzVTGyIM
Yesterday I participated in the ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of The Residence at Heritage West in Andover. Thanks to the collaboration of so many of our state and local partners, more Andover seniors will now have a safe, affordable community to call home. https://t.co/prGR1R2ZjF
Last week I joined the Pachyderm Club in Wichita to talk about protecting Social Security, Republicans' Working Families Tax Cuts and cracking down on fraud. Thank you for having me! https://t.co/kbJuqz3IRl
Happy National Manufacturing Day! Thank you to the talented men and women who have kept Wichita the Air Capital of the World for nearly a century and helped make America the leader in aviation. https://t.co/yfwBeGPNIH
More than 60 million children now have Trump Accounts, made possible by President Trump and Republicans’ historic Working Families Tax Cuts. We’re giving the next generation a head start toward financial independence. https://t.co/vnr5NFINub
Each and every life is precious. Today marks 50 years of the Hyde Amendment, which keeps taxpayer dollars from paying for abortions. It’s estimated to have saved more than 2.6 million lives. Taxpayers should never be forced to fund the abortion industry, and I’ll keep working with President Trump and Congress to make sure they aren’t.
President Trump just made dealing with the federal government a lot easier. https://t.co/hTiRcDRRVT gives you one place to get answers instead of hunting through agency websites. Later this year, you'll be able to enroll in Medicare or renew a passport there too.
Our hospital leaders see every day what it takes to care for patients in Wichita and in rural Kansas. I appreciated hearing from the Kansas Hospital Association at a roundtable earlier this month, where we discussed the Rural Health Transformation Program and policies to help hospitals better serve their communities. We wrapped up with a tour of Wesley Children's Hospital to see how their team cares for kids and families across south central Kansas. I'll continue partnering with our hospitals so patients in the 4th District have access to high-quality care.
Kansas veterans earned their benefits, and they shouldn't have to wait months to receive them. The VA has processed more than 3 million disability claims this fiscal year, faster than ever before, and cut the average wait time nearly in half. If you live in Kansas' 4th District and are having trouble with a VA claim, my office may be able to help. Call: 316-262-8992 https://t.co/NFOGyiOE7w
