This recoginition of the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group is a testament to the dedication and extraordinary courage of the crew aboard. To every servicemember who carried out this critical mission: thank you. We are grateful for your service and commitment to defending our nation.
Happy Armed Forces Day to the brave men and women who serve in our nation’s military. It’s because of your dedication, sacrifice, and commitment that we continue to enjoy the freedoms we hold dear. We are grateful for your service today and every day. https://t.co/CgaLavkthq
Earlier this month, I convened defense leaders and industry innovators in Williamsburg to discuss strengthening America’s defense industrial base and the role Virginia plays in delivering critical capabilities to our warfighters. Read more in The Virginian-Pilot here: https://t.co/XWRfMmRtjd
During this week’s @NatResources hearing, I spoke with @SecretaryBurgum about the importance of taking steps to unleash American energy, strengthen energy independence, and bring down prices. https://t.co/WkR9zkjncL
As we celebrate National Police Week, we are reminded of the daily sacrifice, dedication, and selflessness of our law enforcement officers. I will continue fighting to ensure they have the tools, training, and resources they need to do their jobs safely, effectively, and in service to the communities they protect.
During yesterday's @NatResources hearing, I asked @SecretaryBurgum how the administration is taking additional steps to protect America’s great outdoors while balancing the economic impact that regulations can have on hunting and fishing activities. https://t.co/1jwMX2bWNK
This week, @NatResources joined me in visiting William & Mary’s Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) to learn more about their cutting-edge research and the impact VIMS has on the Gloucester community. https://t.co/SkAXzKWRvu
Organized retail crime affects all of our communities by driving up costs, hurting Main Street businesses, and putting employees and shoppers at risk. I’m proud to be a cosponsor of the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act (CORCA), which passed on the House Floor. This legislation aims to crack down on these dangerous criminal networks, support coordination between law enforcement agencies, and protect our communities.
I'm saddened to hear of the passing of 1st Lt. Kendrick Key, a Richmond native and Air Defense Artillery officer, who served this nation with courage and dedication. My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time.
Do you need help with checking on Social Security benefits, renewing a passport, or processing a VA claim? My district offices in Glen Allen and Yorktown are open every day, but my team is also hosting mobile office hours in Tappahannock tomorrow to assist constituents with casework.
