ICYMI: This week, the House passed a bill I co-led to allow for the sale of E15 year-round. This is promising news for our farmers and for folks facing skyrocketing prices at the pump. I’m calling on the Senate to pass this bill and put people before politics.
As Vice Chair for Policy of the @NewDemCoalition, I believe that no family should have to choose between getting care and paying their bills. That means protecting coverage and strengthening access to reliable care.
Working families are already struggling with costs. We shouldn’t be adding more economic uncertainty through reckless tariffs. We need policies that strengthen American industry and protect our workers – not make everyday essentials more expensive. https://t.co/eDVidNG373
This week, I had the opportunity to speak with the Caterpillar team about the importance of a strong surface transportation reauthorization bill so we can continue to support our local infrastructure and good paying union jobs for folks in Central Illinois. https://t.co/RKlpx9rRgk
It was great meeting my dear friend from Chatham Dave Kimsey and the team from @AHLA to discuss how we can work together to encourage more people from Illinois and around the country to visit our district and enjoy all our communities have to offer. https://t.co/yMy8mj5iXQ
Democracy only works when everyone’s voice is heard. Every community deserves fair representation – not maps drawn to silence voters. Democrats will continue fighting for fair and free elections. https://t.co/ClB3DJOs9l
Yesterday, I was honored to accept the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) Leadership in Government Award. I spoke about the work I’m doing to protect benefits and care at the VA, uplift the stories of our women vets, and ensure veterans remain at the center of every decision made at the VA.
RT @PlantBasedProds: We appreciate @RepNikkiB for joining this week's #PBPCPolicySummit to discuss her work to help grow the ag bioeconomy,…
Year round E15 is the solution! I was proud co-lead the effort to get H.R. 1346 get across the finish line to ensure new markets for our growers and lower prices for consumers. https://t.co/bWbFggnJrH
During National Police Week, I'm proud to be a cosponsor of H.Res. 1252, to honor the brave law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. Last night, the House passed this resolution with overwhelming bipartisan support — reaffirming our gratitude for their sacrifice and commitment to ensuring they have the resources to keep our communities safe.
