By restoring market-driven choices and curbing bureaucratic overreach, this move—alongside my RAAM Act—trusts consumers, rather than federal bureaucrats, to choose the vehicles that best fit their lives and budgets.

I joined a bipartisan coalition of colleagues to introduce legislation reauthorizing the Secure Rural Schools program for three years. Counties home to non-taxable federal lands deserve financial stability to support critical community needs. This three-year extension provides rural Idaho with a predictable foundation for budget planning as we work toward a permanent funding solution.

Without clear rules of the road, college sports risk being dominated by only a handful of the wealthiest programs—endangering small and mid-sized athletic departments, Olympic sports and women's programs. Every major university in Idaho supports the Protect College Sports Act of 2026 to establish uniform national standards for Name, Image and Likeness compensation and bring stability to college athletics. I am hopeful that the House will join us in passing this critical, bipartisan legislation to ensure a fair playing field for student-athletes and schools across the country.
