We’ve seen the threat drones pose in the Middle East. Now they are 90 miles from our shores and near critical infrastructure. It’s clear that the Cuban regime is a national security threat.
RT @HouseAppropsGOP: H.R. 8469 strengthens our nation. From critical military construction projects to mental health care and quality-of-…
@HouseAppropsGOP FY27 MilConVA bill has PASSED the House, a crucial step that delivers for the brave men and women who have selflessly served our country as well as the families who support them. This bill will also standardize proven VA software, helping veterans in our greater South Florida region access faster care with less paperwork, language I was successful in securing. Congrats to Chairman @TomColeOK04 and Subcommittee Chair @JudgeCarter on this first out of twelve FY27 funding win!
@HouseAppropsGOP are keeping the National Police Week momentum going! Proud to have voted to advance the Commerce, Justice, and Science bill out of full committee – next step = House floor! In this bill, I’ve secured nearly $25M in federal funding to support law enforcement, public safety, and health research across our Greater South Florida region. The investment provides modern equipment and technology for local agencies and helps universities advance critical, life-saving research. The bill also includes measures aimed at strengthening national security and confronting transnational criminal activity. Congrats to @TomColeOK04 and Dean of the House, @RepHalRogers , for putting forth a bill that prioritizes Americans’ safety above all else while safeguarding taxpayer dollars.
It was a pleasure to discuss law enforcement issues in Miami-Dade with @Sheriff_Rosie. She has done a phenomenal job keeping our community safe. We also spoke about the $5.25m in funding I secured for the Sheriff dept last year and the 1.7m the South FL delegation got this year. https://t.co/W6qiUIF6i0
Honoring the dedicated law enforcement officers who keep our communities safe every day. During National Police Week, we recognize their service, their families’ sacrifices, and the tools they need to protect and respond. More than $11 million in public safety investments have recently supported departments in FL‑26 — from upgraded patrol vehicles to enhanced technology and mobile command capabilities. Thank you to every officer who puts on the uniform with courage and commitment. Your service strengthens our communities. @MiamiDade_SO @CollierSheriff
During questioning today @SecWar went over why the Cuban regime posses a national security threat to the United States. Past administrations have looked passed the threat but the @realDonaldTrump administration is taking the threat seriously. https://t.co/ChrluWBZry
No better way to kick off #NationalPoliceWeek than here in Collier County, where I delivered $2.5M to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. This funding allows for upgrading policing equipment to support emergency response, improve readiness, and strengthen overall public safety. I commend Sheriff Kevin Rambosk for his dedicated leadership and service to our community and to his entire team.
So sorry to hear about the passing of my dear friend @BillPoseyFL. He was a great friend, legislator and even a race car driver. To his family i send all my love and strength at this difficult time. You will be missed.
Great news that the @USAFReserve will base the new F-35’s at @Homestead_ARB replacing the aging F-16’s. This decision recognizes Homestead’s critical role in our national security. https://t.co/SSZSDxrubI
