Growing up in a military family, I spent much of my childhood on military bases and posts celebrating Armed Forces Day. Then, later, during my own time in the Army, this day continued to hold special meaning in my life. On Armed Forces Day, we honor the brave men and women who have answered the call to serve our nation and defend the freedoms we cherish. Our nation and I are forever grateful to all who wear the uniform. 🇺🇸

I voted for the Keeping Violent Offenders Off Our Streets Act because public safety should always come first. Violent criminals should not be released back onto our streets by unaccountable activist bail funds. I’ll always Back the Blue and fight to keep Iowa communities safe. 🇺🇸

Met with members of the Iowa National Guard Officers and Enlisted Associations to discuss strengthening protections for servicemember data and ensuring the Iowa National Guard have the resources, readiness, and support they deserve. I remain committed to supporting those who serve and protect our nation.🇺🇸
Enjoyed meeting with Fuel Iowa to discuss the House passage of year-round E-15 and the importance of expanding American energy production to help bring down costs for working families. I’m grateful for partners like Fuel Iowa for their strong support in advancing this commonsense solution and helping get it across the finish line.
Met with Dr. Mark Burkard of the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center to discuss advancing cancer research, improving early detection, and expanding access to lifesaving care. We also discussed my Multi-Cancer Early Detection Screening Coverage Act, which was signed into law, and the EARLY Act Reauthorization.
Today, my Recycling Infrastructure and Accessibility Act passed the E&C Environment Subcommittee! This bill expands recycling access in rural and underserved communities, strengthens domestic supply chains, and supports American manufacturing. 🇺🇸 https://t.co/kySrXnhfVz
It was great meeting with the Iowa State Police Association during National Police Week to discuss the importance of officer mental health and wellness. Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe, and we must ensure they have the support and resources they need both on and off the job. I’m grateful for their service, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting Iowans.🇺🇸
