The Senate unanimously passed a resolution I cosponsored that designates May 10-16, 2026 as National Police Week. I join my colleagues in honoring our nation’s federal, state, local, and tribal police officers. Their integrity, dignity, and bravery keeps our communities safe.
For generations, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities have contributed to WA's cultural vibrancy, our economy, and our way of life. It’s an honor to sponsor the annual Senate Resolution marking May as AANHPI Heritage Month. https://t.co/mMoYzDQu1v https://t.co/U5oe2db81f

The State of Washington is already seeing real-world impacts from sea-level rise, but Sen. Johnson of Wisconsin blocked a Senate resolution to simply recognize the problem. We cannot bury our heads in the sand with so much at risk. https://t.co/ICkVh6WEiy
American families got another painful reminder this morning that the cost of living continues to be unaffordable. Inflation is up 3.8% and the pressure on household budgets is getting worse. This Administration is waging a war in the Middle East that has sent oil and gas prices through the roof. Every business and every consumer is feeling the pain. Instead of planning a summer vacation, many families are trying to just figure out how to pay their bills. While in Congress, instead of doing something to ease these financial burdens, Republicans are getting ready to spend $1 billion to build a White House ballroom.
I’m concerned that decreased grocery store competition in local communities is raising food prices. Anti-competitive land restrictions can prevent new grocery stores from moving in. My letter to the FTC: https://t.co/zfwCgFb42d
Happy Mother's Day to moms everywhere! Moms raise us, guide us, and inspire us. I’ll continue to do all I can to support the success of mothers & their families. https://t.co/YNJzLgAtFC
Happy #NationalNursesDay to all the hardworking nurses across the State of Washington. Thank you to WA members of the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses who met with me last week. I am proud to support you for everything you do to help keep Washingtonians healthy.
On #TeacherAppreciationDay I want to thank our state's teachers for educating and inspiring the next generation of Washingtonians. Thank you for the incredible things you do every single day. https://t.co/CF7z9wAeQ1
Indigenous people – especially women and girls – are being murdered or going missing at horrific and unacceptable rates. On May 5th, we remember the victims of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous People crisis and recognize the suffering of families and Native communities. We must demand justice and continue our work to get more law enforcement resources for tribes. https://t.co/IcYWcPcJQ1
