We continue to reflect on the life and legacy of Rep. David Scott. He was a fierce advocate for farmers, young Black scholars, and communities too often unheard. His leadership and voice left a lasting mark on Congress and this country. We miss you, David. https://t.co/WFMtJ9OWW3
Four years after the hate-fueled mass shooting at Tops Supermarket in Buffalo, we continue to remember the 10 innocent lives stolen by hate. No one should fear for their life in a grocery store. Our communities deserve better, and the victims deserved better. https://t.co/PMmoVgpP9w
Students with disabilities deserve stability, not disruption. I pressed Education Secretary Linda McMahon on the decision to end the Charting My Path for Student Success program mid-year and urged her to reinstate this vital support for students and families. https://t.co/j5muvqXkSs
Our democracy didn't become more inclusive by accident. It became stronger because people organized, marched, and demanded equal access to the ballot box. The fight for voting rights did not begin with this court and it will not end with this decision. https://t.co/HwbgoKW07k
I am honored to be recognized during National Police Week as a Congressional Retail Crime Fighter for supporting the Combating Retail Crime Act. I am grateful for the law enforcement officers working tirelessly to keep our communities safe. https://t.co/tgkSRvta8J
Happy Mother’s Day to every mom, mother figure, those grieving the loss of a mother, and mothers grieving the loss of a child. Love does not end with absence. We honor every heart carrying the strength and love of motherhood. Today and every day, we celebrate you. https://t.co/hLvI5BLrkz
After years of planning and preparation, I was honored to be part of the ribbon cutting for the new @USsoccer National Training Center right here in our district! With the anticipation for the World Cup and enthusiasm for soccer at an all time high, I could not be more proud to have this national asset right here in our backyard. (Photo @ajc)
Over the weekend, Rodney Taylor was released from ICE custody and is reunited with his family. We know that the despicable and inhumane treatment of detainees in these facilities continues, and more families are suffering the same pain that Rodney’s family has endured. Our advocacy will continue. https://t.co/43Rr654cTX
The Supreme Court just ruled against a key part of the Voting Rights Act that protects Black voters across our country. The way it impacts our elections and our Congressional maps will become clear over the coming months, but this is a bad sign. Every American has the right to have their voice heard at the ballot box. No matter where you live and no matter your race, color, or creed—your vote matters.
PBMs shouldn’t be standing between patients and the medications they need to survive. It’s time for real, bipartisan action to rein in their control and put patients first. https://t.co/BsB7w2qZCb
