It was pure joy for Kris and me to join in celebrating our friend Msgr James Shea of @umary as he received an Honorary Doctorate from his alma mater @CatholicUniv and delivered an incredible message at commencement. #GodIsGood. https://t.co/dmu95aDTmx
NORPAC is dedicated to strengthening the US-Israel relationship. The rise of antisemitism on college campuses and across America can’t be tolerated. The United States must stand unapologetically with our friend and ally Israel. https://t.co/xA2rcLvQTa
During National Charter School Week, I thank North Dakotans for never giving up on bringing charter schools to the state and celebrate the ability for families and students to choose a school that’s best for them. #NationalCharterSchoolsWeek
Enjoyed engaging with several Canadian Members of Parliament from across the political spectrum while they were in D.C. The relationship between the U.S. and Canada matters deeply to communities on both sides of the border. https://t.co/EB17kfgWj6
Whether it was arrogance or incompetence, it’s long-past time to get to the bottom of the @federalreserve renovation cost overrun. I appreciate Inspector General Horowitz working to deliver transparency and accountability for the taxpayers concerned about this ballooning $2.5 billion price tag.
May is #MilitaryAppreciationMonth, a time to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and selfless service of the men and women who have defended our country in uniform. To our service members, veterans, and military families: thank you for all you do to protect the freedoms Americans enjoy every day. Your dedication to our nation does not go unnoticed, and we are forever grateful for your service and sacrifice.
Headquartered in Bismarck, Knife River Corporation is helping build stronger communities across the nation from the ground up. Great catching up with CEO Brian Gray and CFO Nathan Ring to discuss our work in Congress developing the surface transportation reauthorization bill. https://t.co/cQnYOxN0ae
Today’s successful bipartisan markup of the Clarity Act in @BankingGOP establishes American regulatory guardrails around this emerging technology. We’ve already watched the majority of the industry leave for unregulated overseas markets, leaving consumers completely vulnerable to fraud or abuse. There’s more to be done to perfect this bill, but we’re working with Democrats on the committee to refine this framework and incubate a promising industry. https://t.co/3GbeOPPXy8
Music enriches our lives and our souls. I told Brad Shaw, with Eckroth Music, how much my own music teacher, Myron Dybing, influenced me when I was growing up. We also discussed what can be done to give students access to music education. https://t.co/6uFpDO80Z2
Everything should be on the table during @POTUS’ meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping — including trade. For states like North Dakota that produce far more food than we can consume ourselves, access to major markets like China matters. But at the same time, we need to be strategic about decoupling key supply chains from China. We must ensure American interests come first.
