It’s always an honor to celebrate our community’s proud Italian heritage! From securing funding to revitalize Endicott’s North Side to sponsoring legislation for a National Museum of Italian-American History and Culture, I’ll always stand up for the history and families that built our region. Thanks to everyone who made today’s Columbus Day Parade in Binghamton such a success!
Upstate New Yorkers have been sold out by corruption in Washington. I’m taking on the political establishment in both parties with term limits and a ban on insider trading — because Washington should work for all of us, not the career politicians. https://t.co/uy9Eim8VPs
Great to participate in @HudsonValleyCC Career Jam with my friend @RepPaulTonko! What a fantastic event to showcase local small businesses, highlight our manufacturing sector, and help young people explore pathways to good-paying jobs right here in Upstate New York. https://t.co/CcytLOZi0H
No one should be driven into bankruptcy just getting the healthcare they need. That's why I’m working across the aisle to bring down costs and protect coverage for folks across Upstate New York. https://t.co/16pMeela1D
I was in Rensselaer County talking with local leaders about what proposed Head Start cuts mean for rural families. Early education gives our kids a fair shot and lets parents go to work, but politicians in Washington are putting those programs on the chopping block. I’m fighting back to keep these resources right here in Upstate New York.
Wall Street banks don't live in houses - people do. But right now, big investors are swooping in and pricing out families who have been working their tails off just to save up for a down payment. My bipartisan bill puts an end to it. Because everyone who works hard deserves a fair shot at the American Dream.
It was great to sit down with @BingRabbi and Rabbi Aaron Slonim, leader of the Rohr Chabad Center at Binghamton University. I’m proud to be a partner to our Jewish community in Broome County and across Upstate New York. https://t.co/8qbexvkEvI
Getting the care and support you need shouldn’t mean giving up your independence or your right to make your own choices. That’s why I’m proud to cosponsor the Latonya Reeves Freedom Act to protect the freedom of Americans with disabilities to live, work, and receive services in the communities they choose.
Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists carried out a horrific attack that killed more than 1,000 people, took hundreds more hostage, and tore families apart. Tonight, I joined students and members of the Binghamton University community to remember the lives lost, honor the survivors and hostages who endured unimaginable captivity, and stand with the families forever changed by October 7th. May their memories be a blessing, and may we continue to pray for lasting peace in the region.
Upstate New Yorkers work hard and play by the rules. We deserve health care we can actually afford. Last year, Washington politicians handed out massive tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations – and paid for them by ripping health care away from working families. These cuts have driven up premiums, put more pressure on our rural hospitals, and left thousands of Upstate New Yorkers without coverage. That’s why I just introduced a bill to reinstate funding for New York’s Essential Plan program, which provides affordable health insurance for nearly 15,000 people in NY-19. I won’t let our communities lose the health care they depend on.
