Yet, investigations into the Amateur Athletic Union have uncovered the organization's negligence in enforcing safety measures and holding accountable those who have reports of sexual abuse against them. @HouseCommerce is demanding answers and will continue conducting oversight into these allegations.

Three years ago today, Hamas led the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. The horrific stories and videos from Oct. 7 are still difficult to stomach. Today, my heart is with the people of Israel as they mourn the innocent young lives murdered and tortured at the hands of terrorists. They have remained resilient in the face of unimaginable evil. Our support for our ally has not wavered, and we will continue to ensure that Oct. 7 and every life lost that day are never forgotten.

We remember the bravery and strength of the first responders who ran into danger, the Gold Star families who continue to carry on the legacy of their loved ones, and the heroic Americans, like those aboard Flight 93, who responded to unimaginable circumstances with extraordinary courage and selflessness to protect their fellow Americans. Twenty-five years ago, we made a promise to never forget. Today, we recommit to that promise and to the shared sense of unity that bonded our nation in the aftermath.
