I strongly condemn yesterday’s Islamophobic attack against Abbas Alawieh and his campaign team, and I am grateful no one was hurt. In Michigan, we settle our disagreements at the ballot box, never with violence. No one should have to fear for their personal safety just for putting their hand up to represent their community. I hope the perpetrator is held accountable to the full extent of the law.
Thank you to everyone working so hard in good faith to get this critical legislation done. Our innovators need clear rules of the road, that’s why I was proud to be one of the earliest supporters of the Clarity Act in the House. Still work ahead, but let’s keep the momentum going!
Trump wants to slash K-12 funding, making it harder for Michigan students, teachers, and workers to get ahead. Not on my watch. https://t.co/IUltOuQCsQ
Donald Trump promised to lower costs on day one. Instead, Michigan families are still getting squeezed: from rising grocery bills to higher prices at the gas pump to the soaring cost of housing. At the same time, his administration is spending billions of taxpayer dollars on a reckless war with Iran that is driving prices even higher. https://t.co/gNOV2ZRLPh
As Trump heads to China tomorrow, Michigan workers deserve better than the chaos he’s created at home. We need a real industrial strategy that backs unions, strengthens Michigan manufacturing, and puts workers first. https://t.co/jaxQJPGKno
AUBURN HILLS & NEARBY COMMUNITIES: Please continue following local water restrictions and boil water advisories as repairs move forward. My full statement ⬇️ https://t.co/EYZdyRISyb
Thank you to GM Romulus Propulsion and local UAW members for hosting us this weekend for the @CmteOnCCPDems Heartland Tour. We heard directly from autoworkers and union leaders about the importance of strengthening domestic supply chains, supporting union jobs, and keeping the future of auto manufacturing rooted in Michigan. 🇺🇸🚘
Happy Mother’s Day to the best mom in the world. Growing up in Michigan she taught me what it means to keep going, to care deeply, and to stand up for others even when it’s hard. I love you Mom💕💪😊 https://t.co/kvR95FJaSM
While Donald Trump heads to China next week to meet with the people who want to decimate Michigan's auto industry, I'm fighting to keep Chinese cars out of the United States and strengthen our national security. My No Chinese Cars Act is about protecting jobs across Michigan and protecting our country.
At a time when everything’s expensive, it’s especially impossible to afford a home. Michigan families spend more and more on rent each year and don’t get enough in return. It’s time to give first-time homebuyers a leg up and more opportunities to save for their future. https://t.co/GuzbEmNMRU
