This week, the Supreme Court preserved access to mifepristone as the case moves forward. It’s been proven safe and effective for over 25 years. These legal attacks are creating chaos and confusion nationwide. I won’t stop fighting to protect reproductive care for all.
I’m hosting a telephone town hall on Tuesday, May 19, at 7:00pm EST! Join me to ask questions & learn more about what I'm doing to confront the challenges New Yorkers are facing. RSVP & ask a question: https://t.co/gSosZUBfuQ https://t.co/m4KpnRposq
I’m pleased to arrange free civil (non-criminal) legal services for constituents who cannot afford an attorney. This valuable assistance will be through @nylag’s Mobile Legal Help Center which will be coming to my Northeast Queens Office on Monday, May 18th. https://t.co/hY7C5wEwH0
It’s Period Poverty Awareness Week. Menstruation is normal—but access to essential products still isn’t. That’s why I introduced the Menstrual Equity for All Act to expand access and affordability. Periods are natural. Access should be too. https://t.co/s0jp2Xgzum
LIRR workers are indispensable and deserve a fair wage. I urge both parties to continue negotiating to reach a fair bargain. I hope an agreement can be reached. All working men and women deserve a fair wage, and I hope both sides will return to the table and find a solution as quickly as possible. https://t.co/45B6ll9ktr
I will be holding another passport day for constituents who need to apply for or renew a passport. Pleased to partner w/@SenGianaris, @RagaForQueens and @CMJulieWon in bringing this event to the Woodside Post Office on Saturday. I encourage local residents to take advantage of this easy and convenient service.
This week, I was proud to accept the Pericles award from @OrderOfAHEPA. The founders of AHEPA stood up to hate and fought for democracy. As the representative of a thriving Greek-American community in Queens, I am proud to continue supporting the US-Greece relationship and the strong people-to-people ties that form its foundation.

Four years ago today, a white supremacist, armed with a weapon of war and wearing enhanced body armor, killed 10 people and injured 3 others in a targeted attack on a predominantly Black community in Buffalo. We remember the victims and honor the heroism of Officer Aaron Salter Jr., the security guard on duty that day who gave his life protecting others. In the aftermath, I helped introduce legislation to restrict civilian access to enhanced body armor—continuing the fight to protect our communities and first responders. I’m grateful to @RepTimKennedy for carrying this work forward. We stand with Buffalo today and always.
