Today, we commemorate the senseless attacks of September 11, 2001. As we fly the Star-Spangled Banner and unite in remembrance of this tragedy, may we continue to honor the Americans who died that day and in the days that followed. I pray that God continues to protect the United States.

Pennsylvania is home to beautiful forests, including the Allegheny, our state's only national forest. The Forest Landowner Support Program provides funds to help local forest landowners and ensure these woodlands remain healthy and viable for future generations to enjoy. I am grateful for the organizations that work hard to keep the Commonwealth's forests thriving.

I had a great time touring the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority this week. This facility provides vital waste management and recycling services to businesses and residents across Centre County. Thanks to their efforts, the county has achieved a recycling rate of over 50%—and that number continues to increase!
