Happy National Police Week to the brave men and women in law enforcement. It was a privilege to welcome Sergeant Jennifer Popynick of the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office and Deputy Aaryn Carter of the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office to my office this week and thank them for their honorable service to our communities. Thank you to all who wear the badge for your sacrifice, dedication, and commitment to keeping our communities safe.

For a growing state like North Carolina, investing in transportation infrastructure is key to meeting our unique challenges and supporting future growth. Thank you to @RepRichHudson for hosting me at the North Carolina Economic Development Summit to discuss the infrastructure needs that matter most to families, workers, and communities across our state.
Go Wolfpack to the moon and back! Honored to meet the Artemis II astronauts, especially NC State alumna Christina Koch, at the U.S. Capitol and congratulate the crew on the success of their 10-day mission to space. https://t.co/dKkz0c3vYu
Wishing a Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms whose love, guidance, and sacrifice help shape the next generation - especially my mom and sister-in-law! Grateful for everything you both do for our family! https://t.co/kI8LbH3V9R
Happy National Teacher Appreciation Week! As the school year comes to a close, we recognize the leadership and dedication of our teachers. Thank you for investing in the next generation. https://t.co/9LEF0rNcDn
🚨Farm Bill passes the House! A major win for America’s farm families, rural communities, and our nation’s food security, which is a key component of our national security. https://t.co/uG0rFb5JWz
It was a pleasure to welcome His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla to the U.S. Capitol today, where the King addressed a Joint Meeting of Congress. As our nation approaches 250 years of independence, we’re reminded of the strength of our democratic system and the importance of the enduring partnership between the United States and the United Kingdom. 🇺🇸🇬🇧
This week, I welcomed the winners of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge for NC-07 — Bentley, Edward, and Tilghman from Wilmington — to the nation’s capital. These students turned personal experiences with memory loss into inspiration for their app, “Remember When,” which uses prompt-based recording technology to help preserve and keep memories alive.
