Over the last two years, we have seen Trump pardon thousands of January 6th rioters, the family members of prominent Republican donors, and even heads of state convicted of massive drug trafficking crimes. Now for the 250th anniversary of our independence, he wants to pardon 250 more. @realdonaldtrump continues to treat his presidential powers like a rewards program for anyone willing to pad his pockets or help him subvert the law.
As gas prices soar because of Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, Trump’s attack on offshore wind makes even less sense. Offshore wind creates American jobs for American manufacturing, promotes energy independence and lowers energy costs — in addition to saving our planet. By targeting Empire Wind 1 in my district and other offshore wind projects across the country, Trump is committing economic sabotage against the American people while China ramps up its investment in renewable energy. We should be out-competing China, not surrendering U.S. leadership over renewable energy. https://t.co/eXZJNSkrrR
This smells like blatant and criminal insider trading. Even worse, Trump is personally profiting off of his illegal deportation dragnet. Since we know congressional Republicans will pretend like they never saw this and won’t do a thing, anyone involved in these trades should preserve their records for my investigation in January 2027.
I was proud to join more than 250 of my Democratic colleagues last week in urging the Supreme Court to block the Fifth Circuit’s medically unnecessary restrictions on mifepristone nationwide. I’m also pleased that the large pharmacies that got certified to distribute mifepristone as a result of my pressure can continue to help women across the country access medication abortion. While this decision preserves access to essential reproductive health care for now, I will keep fighting alongside @ReproCaucus to ensure health care decisions stay solely between patients and their doctors.
With at least 18 attacks planned around the world, this commander’s reach was global, but his planned target of a NYC synagogue makes it personal. I am grateful to @NYPDnews and federal authorities for thwarting this horrific plot. This serves as a chilling reminder of the persistent threat our Jewish community faces. We will continue to stand against antisemitism and state-sponsored terror in all its forms. And I will continue to push for more funding for Non-Profit Security Grants to protect houses of worship.
If Kash Patel spent half as much time on his actual job as he does on his “VIP” itineraries, the Bureau might actually be functional. @FBIDirectorKash: Eager to hear how this taxpayer-funded excursion fits the job description.
While Americans continue to grapple with the cost of living, companies like DoorDash are using YOUR data to charge you more for your deliveries than even your next door neighbor might pay. This tactic is called surveillance pricing and it’s exploitative and wrong. My PRICE Act would ban this deceptive practice and make sure that when you use apps like DoorDash, companies display the all-in price up front.
RT @HomelandDems: Little Greg, the short, fired, irrelevant wannabe Nazi is CRASHING OUT over the word “Congresista”. Rep. Ramirez has don…
Trump is pushing to weaponize the IRS into his lawless immigration dragnet. Intimidating immigrants who pay $60B in federal taxes every year – to fund the benefits they aren’t even eligible to receive – will only threaten the nation’s fiscal health. Last year, I led the initial oversight to block him from sending taxpayer data to ICE. We won in court then and will continue to fight any attempts to demonize our immigrant communities. https://t.co/YygUQ7qMqn
I’m grateful that my advocacy helped reduce the price of trains and buses to World Cup games at MetLife Stadium. But $100 is still too much money for a train ride just across the river. I will continue working with New York and New Jersey to push @FIFAcom to further reduce prices so transportation does not present a barrier to anyone attending this incredible event.
