Every morning, law enforcement officers pin on a badge knowing the risks that come with it. Today, we honor the men and women who pinned on that badge for the last time and made the ultimate sacrifice to keep our communities safe. My prayers are with every family grieving the loss of a loved one today.

Roxanne and I are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend, Bill Posey. A longtime member of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, Bill was a champion for America’s space program, a mentor, and a true friend. We are lifting up his wife Katie and their daughters in our prayers. He will be sorely missed.
