Thank you to the brave firefighters working to fight back early season fires in northern Minnesota. Extremely dry conditions throughout the state make this a dangerous time for wildfires, and we all have a responsibility to stay avoid outdoor burning. https://t.co/OzVBTRMOct

Minnesotans deserve action on legislation to get dangerous weapons off our streets. I stand with @mnhouseDFL legislators who are demanding that Speaker Demuth hold a vote.
Thank you to the family of St. Paul Police Officer Felicia Reilly and SPPD officers who shared the courage she brought to her 17 years of service with @KellyMorrisonMN and me. Officer Reilly’s name was added to the national law enforcement memorial after her death in March 2025, following an on-duty assault.
President Trump said, “I don’t think about Americans' financial situation,” and it appears House Republicans don't either. For the third time, I joined House Democrats in voting to end the illegal war in Iran. For the third time, House Republicans voted to continue the war.
Trump promised he would lower costs on day one. Since then, costs have only gone up and he started a war in Iran without considering the consequences. Now, gas prices have surged to $4.52 per gallon. Starting wars won’t lower costs for working families. It’s time to end this unlawful conflict.
Last year, Congress provided the Trump administration with a trillion-dollar defense budget, the largest in our nation’s history. Yet this Pentagon is still failing to manage taxpayer money responsibly. Several of the Services have billion-dollar holes in their personnel accounts and the National Guard has been left short of funds due to increased domestic deployments. These costs must be paid for, along with the growing costs of President Trump’s unlawful and unauthorized war in Iran. Now, President Trump is asking the American people for a $1.5 trillion defense budget. That’s a 44% increase over last year, when he has already demonstrated that his administration is incapable of managing a trillion-dollar budget. I will not support a blank check for the Pentagon. The Trump administration’s budget request must be closely scrutinized. They have failed thus far to provide information to Congress to justify such an extraordinary budget request, and they have failed to provide a plan to pay for it in the long-term.
