I met with Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission Paul Atkins in my Washington, D.C. office to discuss my work as Chair of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets. I focused on the importance of my bipartisan INVEST Act, vital legislation that will bolster our economy and help small business owners grow and create jobs in our community.

As your Representative for Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District, I am committed to being accessible and transparent. Every day I work hard on your behalf to put more money in your pocket, bring down the cost of living, keep our communities safe, and grow our economy so families and businesses can prosper. You can help me continue to provide exceptional customer service by telling me what you think on important issues impacting our lives today. https://t.co/8tkb6zmtgu
I worked with House Leadership and my Midwest colleagues to secure today’s successful vote on year-round sales of ethanol, a huge win for our corn growers and for hardworking families who deserve relief at the pump. Today that bill passed the House and we are one step closer to a commonsense measure that will help Missouri’s farmers and lower gas prices. @MOFarmBureau @MissouriCorn
Happy Mother’s Day, thank you to all the moms who have done so much for their families! https://t.co/YX3f7C0B5s
It was great to meet with the National Park Foundation and the Gateway Arch Park Foundation to discuss my bill to support of the Arch and bring new economic opportunities to the greater St. Louis region. I am proud to co-lead the Gateway Arch Partnership Act, legislation I authored last Congress that just passed the House and will allow the Gateway Arch Foundation to host major events at the Gateway Arch Park, all at no cost to the taxpayer.
I recently introduced the Local Law Enforcement Support Act, legislation to make sure our law enforcement right here in our communities have the resources they need to keep our streets safe, protect our families, and put criminals behind bars. The National Police Association just endorsed my legislation, joining multiple national law enforcement groups as well as our own Missouri Sheriffs Association, Missouri Chiefs of Police, and St. Louis County Police Association supporting this important bill.
