Happy National 4-H Week to all the amazing young leaders in @MN4H and around the country! The Senate passed my bipartisan resolution with Senator Boozman celebrating this week and recognizing 4-H’s impact as it prepares 50,000+ Minnesota youth to lead in their communities. As 4-H Caucus co-chair, I’ll keep championing exciting opportunities for youth in agriculture.
Today marks three years since Hamas’s horrific terrorist attack against Israel. We remember the 1,200 lives lost and the families still living with that grief. We must work toward a two-state solution as the path to lasting peace and security in the region.
I recognized Crystal and Justin Kasmiskie from Shakopee as this year’s Angels in Adoption Minnesota honorees. When a visa issue threatened to stop them from bringing their adopted twin sons home from Liberia, my office helped push their visas through. They made it home just before the visa ban took effect — and now their boys are thriving!
Before calling someone a “dirtbag,” the Senator should have had his facts straight. An apology is in order. Glad one of us knew the difference between the Atlanta Hawks and the Iowa Hawkeyes! https://t.co/2WrNH78HKk
WATCH: For more than six months, this war has cost American lives, driven up prices, and cost taxpayers billions. The President must end his unilateral war with Iran. https://t.co/3BLCcIYPtL
Gold Star families have sacrificed so much on behalf of our nation. I met with some of those families this week — whose loved ones died while serving in our armed forces — and heard their stories and about how TAPS provides support and hope. https://t.co/GYgJDUyB2B
I met with members of the Minnesota Transportation Alliance about the exciting projects strengthening transportation across our state. From highways to bridges to transit, these are the investments we need for the road ahead. https://t.co/VAc4XPsmln
My bipartisan bill to strengthen the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool & Spa Safety Act has passed the Senate Commerce Committee. Since the original law passed thanks to the advocacy of Abbey Taylor’s family there have been ZERO drain entrapment deaths in compliant pools. Sometimes small things — like a drain cover — can have a big impact.
We must act now on AI. I’m working on bipartisan legislation to stop dangerous AI models before they hit the market. It’s clear we cannot wait. https://t.co/Q46ye2IXYU
Spoke with leaders from the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation about their work providing care to youth & adults fighting addiction in Minnesota & across the U.S. They show people — as former First Lady Betty Ford once said — that “there's not only help but there's hope for them.” https://t.co/2fe8esoSWO
