Every day, but especially this week, we honor and remember the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our communities. Thank you to every law enforcement officer who has worn the badge and shown extraordinary courage in the line of duty. Your service and sacrifice are so deeply appreciated.
This month, I spoke with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) about my efforts in achieving tax certainty for manufacturers and all hard working Americans. To learn more about the Working Families Tax Cuts and how they can benefit you, you can read the full article here⬇️. https://t.co/drySUI66ER
Thank you, @SecRubio, for capturing the hope of America in such a powerful way. It is a reminder of the ideals that have always guided our nation and continue to shape its future for generations to come.
Recently, I secured funding for the City of Hinton’s Sidewalk Repair Project. This afternoon, I joined Mayor Jack Scott for a walk around the city to see Hinton Landing and where this project will soon be taking place. It’s a beautiful day here in southern #WV! https://t.co/4BBiyuREi4
This morning, I toured Jan-Care’s Beckley facilities to see firsthand the incredible work they do responding to West Virginians in need. Jan-Care provides services to 11 counties in WV and is the primary 911 service for five of those counties. Driving over 6 million miles and responding to 100,000 calls for help per year, they are truly a blessing to our state. Thank you for having me!
It was an honor to be given the Legislator of the Year award from the @amerambassoc for my work supporting rural health care. I’ve introduced legislation to increase the Medicare reimbursement rates for EMS providers and adjust the compensation our hospitals operating in rural areas receive for the ambulance services they provide through mountainous terrain. Everyone, regardless of where they live, deserves access to life-saving care.
Looking for employment, a new career, or a summer job? Tomorrow, May 5, Workforce WV and the Kanawha County American Job Center will be hosting an on-the-spot hiring event with 50 businesses in South Charleston. Attendance is free and more information can be found in the flyer below.
It was an incredible experience to sit in on King Charles III’s joint address to Congress this week. The United Kingdom is one of America’s longest-standing allies, and moments like this highlight our enduring partnership that continues to unite our two nations. I hope the King and his wife, Queen Camilla, enjoyed their time in the U.S.
It was great to meet with the ambassador of Tajikistan, Zavqi Zavqizoda! We had a great conversation about our nation’s bilateral cooperation and the importance of repealing Jackson-Vanik. I look forward to continued work with Central Asian leaders to expand U.S. trade relations and bolster our diplomatic partnerships.
Happy birthday to a dear friend and colleague of mine, @JimJustice_WV! https://t.co/K2ZJKBiFeC
