Two years ago, my legislation providing important provisions for aviation-impacted communities passed the House of Representatives and was sent to President Biden’s desk where it became law. Having grown up in SeaTac, I know how important the airport is to our community, but also how it can influence those living there. This bill makes the Ninth District and our country safer by addressing environmental and physical consequences from airplane fuel and emissions. I’m glad to see the federal government take a step towards improving the quality of life for those living near airports, and will continue to work to advance these changes.
